As an experienced financier and entrepreneur running several businesses, what do you think has the greatest influence on creativity in the U.S. economy?
Finance rules everything. This is especially true in the USA, where the economy is built on dynamism and change. Here, constancy lies in volatility, which is what makes the market unique. Entrepreneurs must be able to maneuver quickly, shift gears, and make decisions in real time. While Europe is built on systemic principles and traditions, Ukraine teaches courage and resourcefulness in the face of instability. However, the USA demonstrates that a business can only become a leader by combining precise financial analysis with a creative approach.
Finance is a rigorous science that values precision and calculation. But the modern world demands more: the ability to combine rationality with creativity and be prepared for change. In 2023, the arts and culture sector in the USA contributed $1.17 trillion (4.2% of GDP) and grew twice as fast as the overall economy. The number of digital creators increased 7.5-fold from 2020 to 2024, from 200,000 to 1.5 million. These figures clearly demonstrate that creativity is becoming the core of economic growth.
On a global scale, the world is so unstable today that it’s creating its own kind of stability. Successful people navigate these dynamics: managing multiple processes, shifting at the right moment, and combining strict financial discipline and creativity.
Many researchers consider creativity to be the new capital of the 21st century. In your opinion, what makes creativity the most valuable currency in the modern economy?
Creativity is the new currency because it opens doors when conventional resources fail. Money, technology, and even knowledge quickly become obsolete. However, the ability to connect different ideas and perceive new possibilities is a valuable skill that cannot be devalued. Today, success does not depend on having the most capital or data; rather, it depends on finding unconventional solutions, creating unique products, and disrupting the market with bold ideas. Creativity transforms limited resources into limitless possibilities.
Which businesses are the most successful today, and what is their secret?
Successful businesses adapt quickly to change, build trust with clients, and implement technology in all industries. Their secret lies in flexibility, speed, and attention to people.
Leadership is about managing from the inside. Many projects fail because managers miss details and blame employees. When you and your team solve a problem, building a sustainable business becomes possible.
