The New Beauty Code: Hair Health First
Today, Travel to Art speaks with Hanna Boiko, a healthy hair and coloration expert and a member of the jury for the Travel to Art Award 2025.

As a jury member of the Travel to Art Award 2025, what qualities do you consider the key indicators of true professionalism in the beauty industry?
First and foremost, I look at awareness — a deep understanding of processes, not just the visual outcome. A true professional is visible in the way they work with hair quality, how they make decisions in complex cases, and how consistent their results are over time.
Equally important to me are professional ethics, responsibility toward the client, structured thinking, and the ability to grow and evolve within the profession.
You are the creator of a unique healthy lightening method. Could you tell us more about your achievements in this field?
My method is the result of many years of hands-on practice combined with an in-depth study of hair science. I work with an advanced version of the Airtouch technique, but the core principle is a holistic approach to preserving hair structure — the lipid layer, protein bonds, and natural moisture balance.
My key achievement is the ability to achieve a clean, predictable blonde without critical damage to the hair, even in complex cases. This approach is not limited to my personal practice; it is also integrated into my teaching, consultations, and professional expertise, where hair health is always the top priority.

As a leader in the creative industry, how do you contribute to the creative economy of the United States?
My contribution goes beyond the traditional beauty industry and focuses on shaping a culture of healthy hair. I develop methods for safe lightening and for integrating grey hair into modern coloring techniques, helping people with grey hair feel confident, elegant, and contemporary.
By combining science, aesthetics, and a conscious approach, I create sustainable professional value for the U.S. creative industry.
What beauty trends do you foresee for 2026?
If in the past the industry mainly followed visual trends, today — and especially looking ahead to 2026 — people are becoming far more conscious. Clients increasingly choose hair health and quality over purely fashionable effects.
As a professional with a science-based approach, I believe the most important and long-lasting trend is healthy hair, where aesthetics are built on preserved structure, individuality, and long-term results.

You are known for working with clients of different ages, and the grey hair effect is currently very popular. Why has this trend become so relevant, and why did you choose to develop in this direction?
Because beauty does not end at 50. Beauty can exist at any age. Today, naturalness, well-groomed hair, and self-acceptance are highly valued. When a woman takes care of herself and embraces her natural features, it looks stylish and modern. Graceful aging is genuinely in fashion right now.
That is why clients of all ages come to me, including older clients. Together, we reveal the beauty of grey hair, making it expressive, refined, and elegant. Moreover, the grey hair effect is also popular among younger women — because grey hair is no longer a marker of age. It is about structure, texture, and aesthetics.
I always say: there is no need to be afraid of grey hair. What truly matters is learning how to highlight your individuality and turn it into a distinctive feature. That is where I see modern beauty today.
